I like this picture of a landscape because it feels like the trees are hiding some kind of little getaway, a secret place. I think I could have made the photo better by taking the guardrail out and maybe gotten closer so the water didnt seem so far away. Also possibly take the road out too, it would make the pond look more like a 'secret getaway'.

I think the off center one is a lot better. I just like the way it presents itself, the plant helps it out. There is just so much more to the photo with it off to the side, it still is the main object but changes the look in a certain way.

macro lens

I used the macro lens when I took these pictures. As funny as it sounds, out of everything I took a picture of with the macro lens nature pictures came out the best. I learned you can not get too close to the object when taking the picture either. The closer you are the blurrier it is, if you back out a few inches it comes out so much better. No flash is best too. I love how macro makes your eye focus on one object and makes everything in the background look less important, I think it gets the point across! :)
